PAYMENT METHOD: We only accept PayPal.
RETURN POLICY: Following standard practice in the vintage clothing industry, all sales are final. Returns are accepted only if the item is egregiously misrepresented by Western Tribe. English language descriptions govern any discrepancy between English and Chinese language descriptions for items or policies. Please ask any questions prior to purchase.
IMPORT DUTIES: Again, following standard practice in the vintage clothing industry, import duties, local taxes, and importation charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's sole responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to making your purchase. These charges are normally collected by the shipping company at the time of delivery or when you pick the item up. Please do not confuse them for additional shipping charges. We do not discount merchandise prices or mark items as “gifts” when filling out customs declarations. U.S. law and international trade agreements prohibit such behavior. As a result, the price you pay for an item is the price that will be written into the customs declaration.
SHIPPING: Items are typically sent USPS priority mail. All shipments are tracked and insured. Unless otherwise noted, shipping is free for deliveries to the United States and $30 per item to international addresses. Since shipping costs worldwide have skyrocketed over the past few years, this means that Western Tribe pays for approximately half the shipping cost for each item.
HIGH VALUE PURCHASES: From time to time, we sell items that are highly collectible and sell for thousands of dollars. Very often we will not allow you to purchase these items directly from our website, but we require you reach out to us first if you’re interested in buying them. In certain cases, especially if the item costs more than US$10,000, we can arrange for an in-person inspection of the item. In these cases, we will hand deliver your item to you prior to purchase, so you can inspect it. Ideally, these meetings are held in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, or Taipei. We provide this service only in the case of high value items. Please reach out to us if you have any additional questions.
SPECIAL ORDERS: If you are looking for specific items that you don't see on the website, please let us know. We can often find whatever it is that you desire, provided we have enough time to look for it.
